- 1 avocado -- halved, stone removed, peeled, coarsely chopped
- 1 cucumber -- finely chopped
- 1/2 small red onion -- finely chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbl tomato sauce -- or ketchup
- 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbl fresh lemon or lime juice
- a few drops Tabasco sauce -- to taste
- 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
- 24 large cooked shrimp-- peeled leaving tails intact
- lemon or lime wedges -- to serve
