- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 C brandy
- Apple Filling:
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Freshly ground nutmeg, to taste
- 5 gala apples peeled cored sliced
- 1/2 C pureed brandied figs
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Crumb Topping
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- Dash salt
- 2 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
Description
An Upscale Dinner Party Version Of An American Classic. This Pie Takes Some Planning And Effort Because Of The Brandied Figs, But It Is Really A Nice Pie. Serve With French Vanilla Ice Cream Or Cinnamon Ice Cream.
