Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C All Purpose flour
- 1/2 C rolled oats (I never use these)
- 1/3 C sugar (could use less or none at all b/c of the apple sauce) or a ¼ cup of brown rice syrup
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 C buttermilk
- 1/3 C melted butter
- 1 lg egg
- 1/2 C raisins (also try dried cranberries with the raisins, and tsp of vanilla extract... yum)
- 4 oz apple sauce (1 small serving container)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- **I have also added about 1/4 C orange marmalade - very yummy
