General Purpose Chutney Recipe


  • 4 lb fruits in season (apple, pear, rhubarb, grape even citrus fruit such as tangerines left over from Christmas). rhubarb (2/3) and grape (1/3) seems especially good.
  • I lb skinned and diced onions
  • 2 lb demerara sugar
  • 1 lb raisins
  • 2 teaspns ground ginger
  • 2 teaspns shop bought gerneral purpose curry powder
  • 1.5 pints malt vinegar


A General Purpose Chutney Best Made With Seasonal Fruits. A Very Forgiving Recipe In The The Quantities Do Not Have To Be Exact.
