Chicken Sfeeha Recipe

Ingredients

  • for the dough
  • 2 & 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (or 1/2 oz fresh yeast)
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • for the topping
  • 2 large chicken breasts, thawed
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary, minced
  • 1 tsp ground: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, kosher salt
  • olive oil

Savory, Yet Slightly Sweet; These Little Guys Are Definitely A Crowd Pleaser, And Are Easy To Make! Sfeeha Are Middle-Eastern Meat Pies, Traditionally Made With Lamb Or Beef, But I Chose To Make Mine Leaner With Chicken. Served With Lemon Couscous, Zucchi
