Seared Tuna with Radish Salad and Wasabi Dressing

Ingredients

  1. 3 tablespoons wasabi powder
  2. 3 tablespoons silken tofu
  3. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  4. 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice or yuzu juice (see Note)
  5. 1/4 cup mirin
  6. 1/2 pound radishes, sliced paper thin
  7. 3 tablespoons mint leaves, torn in half
  8. 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  9. 1/4 cup daikon sprouts or other peppery sprouts
  10. Four 6-ounce top-quality tuna steaks, about 3/4 inch thick
  11. 1 tablespoon pure olive oil.
  12. Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
