- 1 1/2 sticks (6 ounces) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 2 pounds Granny Smith apples--peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch dice
