Apple and Dried Cranberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 6 tablespoons (about) ice water

  • Filling
    • 3 1/4 pounds Granny Smith apples (about 8 medium), peeled, cored, cut into 1/3-inch-thick slices
    • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
    • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • Pinch of ground cloves

    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces, room temperature

    Description

    The Cranberries Add Tartness, Color And Texture. Serve The Pie With Vanilla Ice Cream Or Sweetened Whipped Cream, If You Like.
