Cherry-Apricot Cream Cheese Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 large egg yolk

  • For filling
    • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature
    • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 large egg yolks
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
    • 3/4 cup whole milk

    • 2 cups fresh cherries (about12 ounces), pitted, halved
    • 4 large apricots, halved, pitted, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
