  • 2 tablespoons dark rum, or apricot brandy
  • 1 pound dried apricots
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup coarse sugar, such as crystal or sanding sugar
