- 4 1⁄4 cups Water
- 2 Dried Whole Bay Leaves
- 3 Whole Black Peppercorns
- 1⁄4 Onion, chopped
- 1⁄4 Turnip, chopped
- 1⁄4 pound Carrot, sliced
- 1⁄4 teaspoon Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- 2 1⁄4 pounds Potato, peeled and cubed
- 1⁄4 Cabbage, quartered
- 12 ounces Beer, good stout or dark ale
