- 4 Leeks, thinly sliced
- 1 bunch Scallion, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1 pound Beef Stew Meat, or lamb, cut into cubes
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- 1 medium Onion, coarsely chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
- pinch Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 4 Dried Lemons, or 1 Tablespoon dried lemon powder (available at Middle Eastern markets)
- 4 cups Water
- 1 can Cannellini Beans, (15 oz)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice, (optional)
