Artichoke Pasta Sauce Over Fettucine


4 oz. uncooked fettuccine 1/4 lb. bulk italian sausage 1 cup chopped onions 1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper 1 (6-oz.) jar marinated artichoke hearts in oil, drained, cut into small pieces 2 cups prepared spaghetti sauce Cook pasta to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; keep warm. Meanwhile, in medium skillet over medium-high heat, brown sausage with onions; drain. Stir in pepper, garlic powder, artichoke hearts and spaghetti sauce; mix well. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. To serve, pour sauce over pasta. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil. Serves 2-3 We had this with caesar salad and texas toast followed by Pepperidge Farms Sausalito cookies and vanilla ice cream
