Bread Pudding With Cognac

Ingredients

  • 1 qt Whole Milk
  • 7 cup Brioche , (or challah) cut into 1 inch squares (crust removed, mostly)
  • 5 ea Egg large , beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Raisin , soaked in cognac for at least 2 hours
  • 1/2 cup Dried Cherry
  • 6 oz Semisweet Chocolate , cut into chunks
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon , ground
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg , ground
