- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 red pepper, diced
- 1/2 green pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil (might not need it depending on sausage fat content)
- 8 ounces orzo pasta
- 4 Teaspoons butter
- 4 Tablespoons pure maple syrup (the good stuff please)
- 1 Tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
- Parmesan cheese, grated
