- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the sauce
- 1 very finely chopped or minced onion
- 30g margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup red wine or beef stock
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon instant coffee
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
