Ingredients

  • Marmalade dip:
  • 1 C. rough cut orange marmalade
  • 4 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 Tbs. garlic, minced
  • 1/3 C. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • Batter:
  • 1 1/2 C. warm beer
  • 1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tbs. butter, melted
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • Shrimp:
  • 2 lbs. raw, lg. shrimp, peeled and de-veined
  • 3/4 C. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3/4 C. blanched almonds, chopped
  • 3/4 C. unsweetened, coconut, chopped
  • 3/4 C. fractured dry angel hair pasta
  • 3 C. canola oil
