  • 3 1/4 - 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
  • 3 tablespoons apricot preserves
  • 2/3 cup ground almonds or walnuts
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water
