1/4 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
2 cups tomato juice
2 beef-bouillon cubes
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 medium-size potatoes, pared and sliced thin (4 cups)
8 small onions, peeled and quartered
1 acorn squash, split and seeded
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
