Turkey Tomato Volcano

Ingredients

-Extra Virgin Olive Oil - about 1tbsp or so
-Ground Turkey - I usually buy a package that's anywhere from 1.25lbs to 1.50lbs and I split it down the middle. I used half of that here.
    - Garlic - I love a lot of garlic for flavor, as well as the spicy kick. You can use less, or more, if you choose.
    - Onions, Mushrooms, Celery - I slice these all up
    - Cabbage - I actually use the pre-cut "coleslaw" mix here that contains cabbage and carrots. I use this as a little extra vegetable goodness since you can't really taste it.
    - Canned Tomatoes - I use the diced, plain, with juice. You can use any sort.
    - Tomato Sauce - I use a whole can (14.5 oz) of sauce, the silly ingredient selector wouldn't really let me say it simply.
    - Celery Seed - Most creole-style dishes I've had contain a lot of onion and celery, and this adds just a little extra punch to the celery flavor.
    - Chili Powder - I use chili powder because it's the right kind of smoky/spicy for the dish for me personally. Any other spice, like red pepper flakes or even some hot sauce would be great, too.
    - I also add a healthy amount of pepper and some salt to taste, as well as a little italian seasoning if you have any on hand. In my family, whenever we make a tomato-based sauce we also add a little sweet and sour, so I added just a sprinkling of sugar (can use splenda) and a squirt of lime juice (lemon works just as well).

-Brown Rice - is separate... this is what I serve over. About a cup per person is plenty. So be sure to add whatever amount of rice you use in your daily calorie count.
