Spinach-artichoke Cheesy Tortellini

Ingredients

    1 10oz box frozen spinach
    2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
    1 tbsp butter
    3 garlic cloves
    1 small onion, peeled and halved
    2 tbsp all-purpose flour
    1 cup chicken stock
    1 cup heavy cream
    1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
    1 14oz can artichoke hearts in water, drained and chopped
    a couple of handfuls grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
    salt & black pepper
    1 pound cheese tortellini or flavored tortellini
