Ingredients

    pastry for one 9-inch pie crust
    6 large eggs
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    dash of nutmeg
    1 cup whipping or heavy cream
    2 cups shredded Swiss or Gruyere cheese
    2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    1 cup lump crabmeat
    1/2 cup slightly undercooked asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 or 3 green onions, chopped
    1 tablespoon snipped chives
