    12 oz bacon
    1 onion, chopped
    1/4 cup Splenda
    4 T white balsamic vinegar
    1/4 cup hot sauce

    Blackeyed peas
    1 cup blackeyed peas
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    1/2 cup celery, chopped
    1/2 cup carrots, chopped
    2 cups chicken stock

    Pork Roast
    2 lb pork butt
    salt and pepper
    2 T thyme
    2 T chile flakes

    Roux
    1 cup flour
    1 cup oil
    8 cups chicken stock
    1 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped pepper
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    2 T minced garlic
    3/4 lb frozen sliced okra
    2 T file
    1 T chili powder
    1 T white pepper
    1 T cayenne pepper
    3 bay leaves

Description

Good Served As Soup With Cornbread Or As The More Traditional Gumbo Over Rice.
