Ingredients
- 1 T. oil
- 6 oz. ch. ham or bacon
- 1 lg. onion, chopped (2 c.)
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 T. dark molasses
- 2 T. apple cider vinegar
- 2 T. Worchestersire
- 1/2 t. liquid smoke
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. chili powder
- 1/2 t. hot pepper sauce
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 1 can butter beans, drained
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1 can chick peas, drained
- Preheat to 375. Heat oil, saute bacon, stirring until browned. Add onion. Saute over mod. high heat stirring often until soft and lightly browned.
- Transfer to 3 qt. baking dish or bean pot (I do the 1st step in one that can go into the oven, too). Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
- Bake uncovered 45 min, stirring every 15. It man seem soupy, but will thicken.
