- 10 plus fresh tomatoes or possibly 2 med. cans of whole tomatoes and 1/2 liquid
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 med. red onion, diced
- 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoon fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh oregano
- Pepper to taste (dry herbs may be substituted)
- 1/2 red wine (optional)
