Lamb Firepot Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 ounce bean threads
  • 2 lb boneles lamb cut thin strips
  •     (from lamb leg or possibly loin)
  • 1 lb medium raw shrimp shelled, deveined
  • 1 bn spinach - (abt 3/4 lb) washed, liquid removed,
  •     and stems removed
  • 2 x green onions, including tops cut 1" pcs
  • 8 c. chicken broth
  • 1 slc ginger crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry or possibly Chinese rice wine
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp minced cilantro (Chinese parsley)
  • 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp chili paste
  • 1/8 tsp freshly-grnd white pepper
  • 1/3 c. plum sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp. prepared Chinese mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 5 Tbsp. canned unsweetened coconut lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp. curry pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp grnd coriander
  • 1/8 tsp grnd cumin
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  •     (or possibly use rice vinegar)
  • 1/4 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 1/3 c. Japanese rice wine (sake)
  • 1/4 c. white miso
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
