- 1/3 c. red wine
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- Â Â Salt to taste
- Â Â Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- 1 lb lean grnd beef
- 1/3 c. fresh breadcrumbs made from white bread
- 1/4 c. diced canned mild green chilies
- 1/4 c. pine nuts toasted
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced green bell pepper
- 1 lrg egg beaten to blend
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 x garlic cloves chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
- 1/4 tsp dry thyme
