Cuban Stew Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 lb flank steaks, cut into 2" cubes
  • 4 clv garlic, chopped
  • 3 c. beef flavored bouillon
  • 1 x carrot, chunked
  • 2 stk celery, chunked
  • 2 med onions, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice, fresh is best
  • 3 Tbsp. orange juice, fresh is best
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper, or possibly to taste
  • 1 x green pepper, cut into strips, or possibly half green, half red
  • 2 x chili peppers, or possibly 2 TB canned jalapenos, chopped
  • 3 x plum tomatoes, remove seeds and chop
  • 1 c. marinara sauce, or possibly any plain tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. grnd cinnamon
  • 2 tsp grnd cumin
  • 1/2 tsp grnd cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. liquid removed capers
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. minced cilantro leaves
