  • 2 lrg sweet onions, (preferably Vidalia), finely minced
  • 2 1/2 lb asparagus, (tough ends removed), cut into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 tsp dry thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dry sage
  • 1 x bay leaf
  • 3 quart water
  •     Salt and pepper to taste
