Applesauce Recipe


  • 3 lb apples (about 8 medium apples) peeled, cored and quartered
  • 2 Tbsp. apple cider or possibly water
  •     Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 c. sugar or possibly honey (to 1/2 c.)
  • 1 piece lemon zest (1 x 3")
  • 1 x cinnamon stick about 3 inches long
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter optional
