- 3 T flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. chicken broth/stock (or possibly 3 bouillon cubes in boiling water)
- 1/2 pound sharp American cheese, shredded
- 1 c. finely minced cooked asparagus
