Christmas Stollen Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Raisins, dark or possibly golden brown
  • 1/4 c. Dry Apricots, minced
  • 1/4 c. Unsweetened Apple Juice
  • 1/4 c. Rum
  • 1 pkt (or possibly 1 tb) Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/3 c. Lowfat milk, heated to lukewarm (105 to 110 degrees)
  • 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 tsp Lemon Rind, grated
  • 1 c. To 1-1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Sliced Blanched Almonds
  • 1/2 c. Low-Sugar Apricot Preserves
