Avery Island Deviled Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound deveined shrimp (fresh)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • Deviled shrimp sauce
  • 3 c. warm cooked rice
  • 1 med. onion, finely minced (1 c.)
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can consomme
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 T steak sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 to 2 T lemon juice
