  • 1 can (14-ounce) artichoke hearts, liquid removed
  • 1/3 c. (or possibly 5 1/3 Tablespoons) BUTTER
  • 1 x Green or possibly red sweet bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 sm Onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1/4 c. Unsifted, all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 2 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x Egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. Bottled capers, liquid removed
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/3 c. Dry sherry
  • 2 c. Warm beautifully seasoned mashed potatoes
