Ingredients
- 1 c. dry barley
- 1/2 c. dry green or possibly red lentils
- 6 c. water
- 2 med onions, diced
- 2 Tbsp. olive or possibly sunflower oil
- 1 Tbsp. dry mint or possibly parsley
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp grnd black pepper
- 1 x put everything into a pot an
- 2 x simmer for 1 1/4 hrs, stir
- 3 x serve with feta cheese and s
Description
Variations: Fry The Onions, In The Oil, Before Putting Them In The Pot. Add In 1 C. Of Cooked Chick Peas Or Possibly Red Kidney Beans, A Few Min Before Serving.
