- 3 teaspoon shortening or possibly butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 c. buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk (1 c. lowfat milk + 1 T vinegar)
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
