  • ¼ onion, finely chopped

  • 100g/3½oz basmati rice

  • 300ml/10fl oz chicken stock(vegetarians can substitute vegetable stock)

  • ½ bunch of asparagus, chopped

  • 4 tbsp double cream

  • 30g/1oz butter
