For the pears
  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 pinch saffron

  • 4 pears

To serve
  • 3 flaked almonds

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • fresh parsley and coriander leaves, chopped
