Ingredients

Ingredients For the filling
  • 225g/8oz dried apricots

  • 8 tbsp brandy

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil, for greasing

  • 225g/8oz ready-made vegan shortcrust pastry

  • 450g/1lb vegan mincemeat

  • 225g/8oz Bramley apples, peeled, cores removed, flesh sliced

  • 1 lemon, juice only

For the topping
  • 50g/2oz plain flour

  • 50g/2oz ground almonds

  • 50g/2oz butter or vegan margarine

  • 50g/2oz soft brown sugar

To serve
  • handful toasted flaked almonds

  • 2 tbsp double cream, crème fraîche, or soya cream
