  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger (from 4- to 6-inch piece)
  • 2 medium cloves garlic , minced or pressed through a garlic press (about 2 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1/3 cup honey
