Apple Pecan Tart


Crust: 3/4 cup (175 mL) unsalted butter, softened 1/3 cup (75 mL) granulated sugar 1 tsp (5 mL) finely grated lemon rind 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt Filling: 1 pkg (8 oz/250 g) light cream cheese, softened 2 tbsp (25 mL) granulated sugar 2 Ontario Eggs 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla Topping: 3 cups (750 mL) thinly sliced peeled Ontario Apples 2 tbsp (25 mL) packed brown sugar 1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon 1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped pecans icing sugar


Crust: In Bowl, Cream Together Butter, Sugar And Lemon Rind Until Light And Fluffy.  Stir In Flour And Salt Until Dough Starts To Come Together (dough Will Be Crumbly And Dry In Appearance).  Press Onto Bottom And Up Sides Of 9-inch (23 Cm) Nonstick Favicon
