- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- FOR THE COOKIE DOUGH
- 8 ounces (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons coarse salt
