  • 1/3 cup  sugar
  • 3 tablespoons  all-purpose flour
  • 3 or 4  firm ripe pears, such as Bartlett or Bosc
  • 1 cup  water
  • 2 tablespoons  lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup  apricot preserves
  • 1 tablespoon  pear liqueur (optional)
  •   Pear Chips (optional)
