- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped crystallized ginger or 1 teaspoon ground
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch each cloves and freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chilled heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks with 1 tablespoons confectioner'' sugar
