Ingredients

  •   Meat Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup  olive oil
  • 6 large  zucchini (about 3 pounds), cut diagonally into 1/2-inch-thick slices
  • 1 large  onion, chopped (about 1-1/2 cups)
  • 1 clove  garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons  dried oregano
  • 1 pound  ground lamb
  • 1 can  (14-1/2 ounces) tomatoes, in juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon  salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon  pepper
  • 2   eggs
  • 3 tablespoons  bread crumbs
  •   White Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons  olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon  butter
  • 6 tablespoons  all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups  low-fat (1percent) milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon  salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon  pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon  ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup  grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2   eggs
