  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground cinnamon
  • 6 large  Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch wedges (10 cups)
  •   Vanilla ice cream (optional)
