  • 5   carrots, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 3   celery stalks, coarsely chopped
  • 1   medium onion, diced
  • 3   garlic cloves,minced
  • 6 oz  white button mushrooms, sliced 3/8 inch thick
  • 1 cup  dry red wine
  • 1 cup  low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/4 cup  steak sauce (such as A1)
  • 1-1/2 tsp  dried Italian seasoning
  • 2-1/4 cups  packaged biscuit mix
  • 2/3 cup  milk
