Stuffed Chilies In Walnut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pound  ground pork or ground raw turkey or chicken
  • 1/3 cup  chopped onion (1 small)
  • 1 clove  garlic, minced
  • 2 cups  chopped peeled apple and/or pear (2 large)
  • 1 8-ounce can  tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup  raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon  salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup  slivered almonds, toasted
  • 6 large  fresh poblano peppers or 3 small green sweet peppers
  • 1/2 cup  walnuts
  • 1 3-ounce package  cream cheese, cut up
  • 1/3 cup  milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon  salt
