• 1 pint  strawberry ice cream, softened (see note)
• 2/3 cup  finely chopped strawberries
• 1 12-oz. carton  frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed
• 1/2 cup  shredded coconut, toasted
•   Maraschino cherries with stems
