Maple Apple-pear Butter

Ingredients

  • 3-1/2 pounds  ripe pears
  • 2-1/2 pounds  apples
  • 3 cups  apple or pear cider
  • 1-1/3 cups  pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup  firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons  ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon  table salt
  • 1 tablespoon  lemon juice
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons  pure vanilla extract

Description

Cook The Apples And Pears With Their Peels, Cores, And Seeds To Get Every Ounce Of Flavor From The Fruit. Regardless Of What Pear Variety You Use, They Must Be Ripe, Or Your Butter May Be Unpleasantly Grainy.
